How Concessio sources and verifies its data
Every record in Concessio traces to a verifiable primary source. If a datum cannot be traced to a primary source, it does not enter the database.

Where does Concessio's data come from?
Every record in Concessio traces to a verifiable primary source. We extract from government procurement portals and official gazettes, sectoral regulator filings and determinations, stock-exchange disclosures (SEC EDGAR, HKEX and peers), multilateral development bank project databases (World Bank, IFC, ADB, EBRD, IDB), and the official publications of grantors and concessionaires themselves. The citation is stored on the record: source URL, and for document extractions, a page-level reference.
What does Concessio refuse to do?
What we refuse to do: we do not cite Wikipedia. We do not re-scrape paywalled secondary aggregators. We do not treat fund marketing pages or third-party corporate marketing pages as sources of contract data. We do not publish records generated from AI training knowledge. If a datum cannot be traced to a primary source, it does not enter the database.
How are contract clauses extracted?
Contract clause language is extracted verbatim from the underlying concession agreement, gazette, or regulatory document — never paraphrased from summaries — with a reference to the source document and page.
How is the data verified?
Verification: independent audit passes re-derive data points from their cited sources and confirm the value matches. Records that fail verification are corrected or quarantined from user-facing views, and every correction is logged in a remediation trail. Data that would not survive an institutional due-diligence review does not ship.
How often is the data updated?
Updates: the database refreshes daily from procurement databases, regulatory publications, and news monitoring across 720+ sources.
How are corrections handled?
