What geography is covered?

Concessio tracks concessions in 189 countries across every populated region — the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and Asia-Pacific. Coverage depth follows the availability of primary procurement, gazette, and regulator records in each jurisdiction. Use the GET /api/v1/countries endpoint for per-country concession counts and region mapping.

What data types are held per concession?

  • Identity: canonical Concessio ID, name, grantor, country, region, and asset class.
  • Lifecycle: the five contract dates (award, signing, financial close, term start, operations start), status, and term length, each held only where a cited source backs it.
  • Ownership: current concessionaire and dated acquisition and disposal events — 10,000+ ownership events tracked as of September 2026.
  • Transactions: concession M&A and financing events in a transactions database of 6,600+ records, with per-unit denominators such as passengers, kilometres, and TEU where disclosed.
  • Contract clauses: language extracted verbatim from the underlying agreement, gazette, or regulatory document, with a reference to the source document and page.

How can I access the data?

  • Public registry — every concession has a public page at /id/{CCID}, and the per-ID lookup GET /api/v1/id/{CCID} needs no key.
  • REST API — search, detail, sectors, countries, operators, and stats endpoints. See the API Reference.
  • MCP server — query the database in natural language from Claude and other MCP-compatible assistants. See the MCP Server guide.
